Corinne and Laurie
Corinne and her sister Laurie celebrate the success of her very first art market in 2021.

About The Artist

Corinne has been a prolific mosaic artist since 2012, creating vibrant works that range from wall hangings and architectural installations to garden sculptures, public art, mirrors, and more. Based in her Newburyport studio, she not only produces commissioned pieces—especially beloved pet portraits, one of her specialties—but also shares her passion by teaching mosaic art to students of all levels.

Her work is featured in public and private collections throughout New England and across the country, bringing beauty and joy to indoor and outdoor spaces alike. Deeply committed to the healing potential of creativity, Corinne is a trained Arts-in-Health Practitioner and believes in the transformative power of art to connect, comfort, and inspire.

Artist Statement

Mosaic art is a powerful symbol of transformation and renewal. It reflects how the fragmented pieces of life—whether trials or treasured moments—can come together to form something whole, unique, and meaningful, often revealing the hidden value in what might initially seem insignificant.

More than a ‘feel good’ activity, the process of selecting and connecting the elements of size, color, texture and shape, has helped me develop problem-solving and storytelling skills, critical thinking, and patience. Mosaics is a very forgiving art where imperfections can be embraced to add interest and highlight other parts of the work.  There is an important life lesson to be learned from this.

The most personally significant transformational aspect of mosaics is that becoming a mosaic artist has transformed me into the best possible version of myself. It is how I feel most enlivened, accomplished, contributory, purposeful, spiritually receptive, and joyful.

I want everything I do to add value and beauty to my community and our world. Becoming a better artist maximizes my ability to do so.
